The Discobolus of Myrrh is an ancient Greek sculpture from the early classical period, circa 460-450 BC, depicting an ancient Greek athlete throwing a discus. The original Greek bronze is lost, and the work is known through several Roman copies.
Discobolus, the icon of ancient Greek athletics, appears naked. The pose seems unnatural for a man, and by modern standards a pretty ineffective way to throw the discus... but it looks cool, doesn't it?
